OUR STORY
Hippie Hillbilly Farm | Established 2025
The Tiedemann Family has been farming since 1952. That family farm is how Hippie Hillbilly Farm co-owner, Dan Tiedemann, developed his knowledge, passion, and work ethic in the farming industry. Dan attended Southern Illinois University to study Weed Science, he then went on to pursue various jobs in the farming industry from selling seed to selling tractors to soil nutrient management. All while managing and operating Tiedemann Farm out of Belleville, IL. Dan met his wife, and co-owner of Hippie Hillbilly Farm, Angela Tiedemann, at Southern Illinois University where she studied exercise science. With nearly two decades of experience in the health and wellness industry, Angela is excited to join the family business and bring a little hippie to his hillbilly. She isn't entirely inexperienced; Angela has been called a "pretty decent grain cart driver" when assisting Dan to unload on the go. Angela has also been known to call herself the "HalloQueen" so she is thrilled to join Dan on this journey to not only share quality pumpkins, but to also bring a really great fall experience to everyone who visits. In addition to running Hippie Hillbilly Farm and working in the wellness industry, Angela also writes children's Halloween books that are fun for the whole family.

OUR PUMPKINS
Hippie Hillbilly Farm takes pride in the farming industry and has partnered with a local grower who has extensive experience in growing and breeding quality pumpkins. Now retired from working at the Southern Illinois University Research Farm, our grower has helped Dan and Angela learn what it takes to grow many varieties of pumpkins. Angela really enjoys seeing pumpkins of every size, shape, and color so it is important to her that Hippie Hillbilly Farm gives you access to as many sizes, shapes, and colors as possible.
